Sitting on thoughts
The Northman 9/10 (Rewatch)
Although the movie isn't perfect, Robert Eggers's direction and camera work always leave me in awe. The few shortcomings that struck in the first preview became much more prevalent after many rewatches. But, as always for Eggers, the highs outweighed many of the lows. Hopefully, in the future, consumers won't let a great movie like "The Northman" bomb at the box office so audiences can continue getting higher-budget original films.

Nosferatu (2024) 8.5/10
Nosferatu is a good middle ground between Robert Eggers's lore-driven narrative and the entertaining set pieces many viewers crave. The cinematography, score, and Lily-Rose Depp's acting are all top-notch and deserve to make appearances during the award season. As expected, another hit was curated by Robert Eggers.
Anora 8/10

In the Mood for Love 9/10
Chungking Express 10/10 (Favorite)
Where to even start; the intoxicating rhythm and sense of melancholy throughout "Chungking Express", creates a feeling that is hard to describe in words. While watching the film, viewers discover Wong  use of slow shutter speed, creative lens choices, and a distinct color palette. gives a sense of beautiful sadness that is hard to replicate. This is truly a remarkable film and Wong Kar Wai's magnum opus.
